  1. Good morning,

Recently my husband saw a photograph in the Malvern Gazette of the Malvern male voice choir members in 1926. His father was in the picture along with some other men whom he recognised, and he would very much like to get in touch with the person who owns the photograph. His father was George Slater. Please could you get in touch with Alan Slater, Benlake, Newland, Malvern, WR13 5AX or tel 01684 575139 or mob 07966 426419 or email me (Mrs Slater) Thank you so much Pia

  2. Hi John,
Eoin McCarthy informed me that you maybe looking for volunteers to help the chior. I believe this to be administrative nature with written work.
At present, I am looking to help in this way to help charities and other organizations like yours with promotional leaflets as an example.
If you feel I can help in this way, please email or phone me back today or tomorrow afternoon.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind regards

    Tim Stavert

    • Hi Tim

Thank you very much for your email offering to help us with press releases. I believe that Eoin McCarthy, a colleague of yours and a member of the Malvern Male Voice Choir, contacted you wondering if you would be prepared to help us. Since then, Martin Wheeler, also a member of the choir, has kindly volunteered to step into the breach and is currently getting himself known to various agents of the local press. He is aware that you have offered to help and has said that he will ask you for support if he feels the need – if that’s OK with you. So we’ll keep you in mind for the future.

      Thanks again.

Peter Lawes (Secretary Malvern Male Voice Choir)

      • Hi Peter, I have just discovered a few cross wires. Could you please give me a call on 01886-832906 or as soon as you can.

  3. I will be delighted to help and will look forward to listening to the Chior. Have you thought of doing a recording for your website. My brother in law does photography and filming, this might be an ideal opportunity to construct a recording with filming of the chior and the Malvern hills with some music of old and new to complement it. What do you think?

  6. Hello there
I am writing from Colwall Orchard Group to tell you about a concert we are arranging that might interest your members and followers. The concert is by Swedish folk a capella group Kongero, at Colwall Village Hall on Wednesday 23rd October – . You can find out more on their website at
Kongero draws traditional Swedish music from out of the past and into the present. Their repertoire consists of traditional and self-penned songs and tunes arranged by the members. Kongero tells tales of life, with moving love songs, dramatic medieval ballads, witty ditties, and spirited dances. Their music is characterized by tight harmonies, inciting rhythms and the clarity of their beautiful voices.

  7. Hi all of you
After a safe flight back to zurich, we still can’t believe, what has taken place the last four days. The concert with you in the priory was – as peter said – really uplifting and we are so happy, that everything worked well and we had such an audience for it. We are honored, that we were part of this great concert with you. So again: many, many thanks to all of you for your help to make this come true. We’ll also never forget this after show party with you. Just fantastic.
Greeting to all our new friends in malvern.

  10. Dear Gentlemen and gentle voices,
This Saturday, there will be a small parade and signing of Carols in Malvern in support of a charity for donkeys in the Holy Land. There will be a staging of the nativity, lots of children and colourful costumes.
The group does not have the luxury of your amazing training and talent but we’d so love for any happy carollers to come and sing along with us!
We will be singing about 25 “standard” Christmas carols and will have song sheets to hand out for people to follow.
We start at 12 noon this Saturday at the Abby Hotel/ Priory Gatehouse in Malvern and tour the town ending at Lyttleton Well at 3 pm.
Would you be able to share this with anyone whom you feel might be interested or let me know if any way I can each happy singers apart from our flyers and posters?

Many many thanks and a very happy Christmas if we don’t see you.

Kongero tells tales of life, with moving love songs, dramatic medieval ballads, witty ditties, and spirited dances. Their music is characterized by tight harmonies, inciting rhythms and the clarity of their beautiful voices.
