A Summer of Song

Saturday 13 May saw the Choir singing at a special event at St Denys’ Church, Severn Stoke, to a packed audience in the beautiful 14 Century church.

The event was held to raise much needed funds for the church for improvements and the addition of modern facilities.

Fine violin playing was also provided by soloist Zoe Davis, and the evening finished with choir and audience singing a rousing finale of ‘Jerusalem’.

On Thursday 18 May the Choir presented a concert at the Leadon Bank sheltered housing complex in Ledbury, for the Shaw Trust, and in aid of local charity Herefordshire Growing Point, which promotes therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation for those suffering difficulties especially in their advancing years.

A large audience enjoyed a varied programme of music, and also the recitation of some humorous poetry with an appropriate horticultural theme.
