A Commemoration for Remembrance Sunday, entitled ‘Hearts of Love’, will be led by Malvern Male Voice Choir recalling all those who have died in conflict. Older Choir members will be wearing their war medals in honour of their fallen comrades, and the congregation are being encouraged to wear their medals also.
The Choir is joined by the Holy Trinity Church Senior Choir and the two young instrumentalists, Billy Colbourne (Clarinet/Saxophone) and Charlotte Ellis (Trumpet), both of whom have given acclaimed performances with the Choir in the past year. The event is to be led by Eileen Tomlin, Lay Minister in the Malvern Link Parish.
Charles Pavey, the Choir’s Conductor, says “Malvern Male Voice Choir’s commemoration of Armistice Day is always a highpoint in the Choir’s year and as this is also its 90th anniversary year, the occasion is even more significant.”
The choir will present a selected programme of words and music culminating in an Act of Remembrance at The Church of The Ascension, Somers Park Avenue, Malvern, at 7pm on Sunday 11th November. Admission is free to this public occasion, and everyone is welcome. There will be a retiring collection in aid of The Royal British Legion and The Church of The Ascension.
